Ingredients
- 3 cups fresh watermelon cubes (seedless preferred)
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (about 1 medium lime)
- 1–2 teaspoons honey or sugar (optional)
- ½–1 cup cold water (adjust for consistency)
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves (optional garnish)
- Lime slices or watermelon wedges (for garnish)
Procedure
To make this healthy and nourishing watermelon lime cooler, follow the steps below.
- Cut fresh watermelon into cubes and remove any seeds. Chill the cubes in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes for a colder drink
- Add the watermelon cubes to a blender and blend until completely smooth.
- You could also use a hand blender and a mixing cup to blend the watermelon cubes.
- If you prefer a smoother drink, strain the blended watermelon through a fine sieve to remove pulp. This step is optional if you enjoy a thicker texture.
- Extract fresh lime juice using a manual lemon squeezer and pour into the blended watermelon. Stir well to combine.
- Taste the mixture. If needed, add honey or sugar and stir until dissolved. Many times, the natural sweetness of watermelon is enough.
- Add cold water if you prefer a lighter, thinner drink. Stir well.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the watermelon lime mixture over the ice. Garnish with mint leaves, watermelon wedges and or lime slices. Serve immediately while chilled and fresh.
💡 Tips for the Best Flavor
- Use fully ripe, sweet watermelon for maximum natural sweetness.
- Always use freshly squeezed lime juice for the brightest flavor.
- For a fizzy version, replace part of the water with sparkling water.
- For extra freshness, muddle mint leaves before adding the drink.
