- 3–4 medium potatoes (boiled and mashed)
- 2 tablespoons cornflour or all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs (plus extra for coating)
- ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder or 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon chopped coriander or parsley (optional)
- Oil for frying
Procedure
To make this mouthwatering potato triangles, follow the steps below.
- Boil the Potatoes: Wash, peel, and cut the potatoes into chunks. Boil in salted water until soft (about 10–15 minutes). Drain completely and allow them to cool slight.
- Mash the Potatoes: Mash the boiled potatoes until smooth and lump-free. Make sure there is no excess moisture.
- Add Seasoning: Add salt, black pepper, chili flakes, garlic, chopped herbs, corn flour, and breadcrumbs. Mix thoroughly to form a soft dough-like mixture.
- If the mixture feels too sticky, add a little more corn flour or breadcrumbs.
- Shape the Triangles: Place the mixture on a clean surface or plate. Flatten it evenly to about ½ inch thickness. Using a knife, cut into triangle shapes (like slicing a pizza). You can also shape them individually by hand.
- Coat for Extra Crispiness: Lightly coat each triangle in dry breadcrumbs for a crispier outer layer(Optional but recommended)
- Fry the Triangles: Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat, carefully place the triangles in hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy on both sides (about 2–3 minutes per side). Remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.

- Next, serve hot on an unbreakable plate with- Tomato ketchup, Chili garlic sauce, Mint yogurt dip, Cheese sauce or also sprinkle some chaat masala or grated cheese on top before serving for extra flavor.
