Condensed milk is basically made from milk and sugar. It gives sweet meals that rich, milky flavor while also serving as a binder by binding components together with its gooey consistency. It is used to make variety of desserts, including pie, fudge, milk cake, and homemade duce le leche. Condensed milk is also used to make some varieties of coffee like café bombon, viatnamese coffee. The sugar added in condensed milk extends the shelf life of the sweetened condensed milk as the sucrose increases the liquid’s osmotic pressure, which prevents microorganisms growth.
Ingredients
- 4 cups milk (full-fat whole milk)
- 1 1/4 cup sugar (white ,cane or brown sugar)
