Have you ever tried banana bread? If the answer is no, then, you’re surely missing a lot! While for a starter, banana bread is a very nutritious and delicious bread. It’s fluffy, moist and a whole lot more! Let’s see how to make one.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened 1stick)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 5 ripe bananas(mashed)
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped peanuts, cashew nuts, Oreo biscuit, digestive biscuit, chocolate chipnal)
Steps
- Preheat oven to 375/175 degrees Celsius.
- After carefully measuring the Ingredients, sieve them into a bowl.
- In a separate bowl, bring in your ripe bananas and mash them until smooth.
- Add in sugar, butter, egg and vanilla extract/flavour to the mashed bananas. Stir well until properly combined.
- Add the dry ingredients to the mixture of the mashed bananas and gently stir (be careful not to overmix as it helps to keep the bread soft and tender).
- Prep the loaf pan by spreading butter into the pan, pour in your mixture and then add in any toppings of your choice.
- Slide the pan to the oven and bake for 45-50minutes pending on how filled your pan is or until an Inserted toothpick comes out clean.
