Have you ever tried banana bread? If the answer is no, then, you’re surely missing a lot! While for a starter, banana bread is a very nutritious and delicious bread. It’s fluffy, moist and a whole lot more! Let’s see how to make one.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened 1stick)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 5 ripe bananas(mashed)
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts, cashew nuts, Oreo biscuit, digestive biscuit, chocolate chipnal)

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 375/175 degrees Celsius.
  2. After carefully measuring the Ingredients, sieve them into a bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, bring in your ripe bananas and mash them until smooth.
  4. Add in sugar, butter, egg and vanilla extract/flavour to the mashed bananas. Stir well until properly combined.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the mixture of the mashed bananas and gently stir (be careful not to overmix as it helps to keep the bread soft and tender).
  6. Prep the loaf pan by spreading butter into the pan, pour in your mixture and then add in any toppings of your choice.
  7. Slide the pan to the oven and bake for 45-50minutes pending on how filled your pan is or until an Inserted toothpick comes out clean.
